Author and journalist Lee Yaron recently visited DOROT to discuss her new book, 10/7: 100 Human Stories, which chronicles the October 7 Hamas attack on Israel through the personal accounts of 100 people.
In a discussion with Executive Director Mark L. Meridy, the longtime Haaretz reporter shared some of the moving, often harrowing, stories she gathered from a range of everyday people affected by the attack, including survivors, first responders and eyewitnesses.
“I was honored to interview Lee about her extraordinary book and to have her speak to the DOROT community,” said Meridy. The discussion, held October 9 at DOROT and streamed online, was created to mark the one-year anniversary of the attack, in which nearly 1,200 people were killed and 251 taken hostage.
