DOROT's Tech Coaching volunteers provide 1:1 support for older adults who want to learn and practice new technology skills on smartphones, tablets and computers in the comfort of their own home or over Zoom. Patience, comfort with technology and enthusiasm for helping people learn are all that’s needed.

DOROT’s Package Delivery program brings hundreds of older adults and volunteers together to share warmth and companionship. Join us in Manhattan or Westchester for this special program.

Enjoy a mutually beneficial friendship with an older adult. Join DOROT’s growing corps of Friendly Visiting volunteers. Share stories, life lessons, and companionship during weekly or monthly visits with an older adult in Manhattan or Westchester. Matches are based on mutual interests, availability and location.

Interested in occasional volunteering with older adults? Learn more about our Response Team, a corps of volunteers who want flexibility in how and when they assist DOROT elders. Response team volunteers can celebrate birthdays, connect over a common interest, help with a task or errand and more.

Share a legacy, help older New Yorkers record their memories, hopes, values and life lessons for loved ones and generations to come to share. Volunteers visit with seniors in their homes and are paired with them based on mutual interest and availability.

Offer older adults a sense of security and understanding in visiting the cemetery to pay their respects to loved ones.

Bring birthday and holiday cheer to DOROT seniors with handmade greeting cards. DOROT sends beautiful birthday cards, designed and created by our volunteers, to each of the nearly 4,000 older adults we work with each year. Your group members can use their artistic skills to benefit older adults in our community.
